The land acquired for the project is likely the last buildable location in Boone.
Prominently located on Highway 421 which is the main entry/exit to Boone, the community provides high visibility and easy access. Within walking distance are Hardin Elementary, Watauga High School and New Market Shopping Center anchored by Lowe's Foods and Regal Cinemas. Appalachian State University is 1.4 miles away and there is a campus bus stop at the entrance of the community.
